Yeah, so the final stages of the building work aren't going too well. We're 10 days on since the hot tank was disabled and we still have no hot water or flushing toilet. (you can use the loo, but not sit on it and you have to use a bucket of water to flush it) So I've fled to my parents' house; under instruction from Jim.
He's being so fabulous about this whole building project; dealing with the builders and the building company, sorting them out when they are being useless, making me baths (when we still had a bath that we could fill with water boiled on the hob in the kitchen), sending me away to my parents where it's less gritty and there's hot water etc. I'm rather unsettled by it all and the dog is too smelly and hairy (no more so than any normal dog, but I'm not used to it any more) to cuddle for comfort. It's only been one night and two days, but I miss Jim; it's not the same as one of us going away for work.
