Glorious day

2442376527_1854a5e873_m.jpgOh boy it's lovely out there today. I've done a bit of gardening, hacked back a little of the weeds, but not all of it yet because the padlock on the shed has seized up and I can't get at the gardening tools. More importantly, I need the bug killer because my dog rose is infested with green flies.

Still, the weather is so nice that I have a summer dress on and I'm in the garden waiting for N to come for tea and cake. Which is just lovely. I like my garden.

Use soapy water to spray your rose. Anything else will kill the ladybirds that eat the greenfly. Your dogrose is old enough to have survived earlier infestation. Think about planting a few shrubs to attract the ladybirds, bees and butterflies.
