My parents have a new dog. He's a 7 month old rescue. Quite the cutie and a character to boot.
Got lots done this evening, due to crossness mostly. I had intended to race straight out of the door on my bike as soon as I got home, but it had fallen over again and taken the Cave with it. So I was quite cross and had to do something about it. I fitted a hook for the top eyelet, to hold the top in place; and fitted a bracket to the wall to lock the bike to to keep it upright. Drilling and hammering of rawlplugs and screwing in of security screws (they won't ever undo, they're designed only to be done up) and it's all a lot more secure now. I've also compiled the mortgage application pack for when I remortgage in September (fixed, discounted rate comes to an end, booooo!) and vacuumed the whole house. Lots done. *satisfied*

I've already had lots of complimentary comments about your photography skills from the Rescue people.
Good news about the house (how's about some new interior pics?) and mortgage. Isn't the rate lower now than it was when you took out the fixed one?

Rate lower than 2 years ago? You're kidding? Not by a mile and a half. The fixed rate 2 years ago was 4.85%; you'd have a hard time getting anything lower than 5.7% at the moment (I'm getting 5.64% from HSBC but it's a discounted tracker).
House needs alot more doing to it. The middle floor is almost unused with the master bedroom being my dressing room at the moment and full of boxes as the other bedroom on that floor needs plastering work and painting before it can be used as a study. Lots to do and absolutely no money to do it with. I'm working on a way to help with that though.
