Psion Series 5/5mx/REVO

• news04a.zip - A news reader for EPOC32. (Not tested by me.)
• nicq-sis.zip v2.20 - - An ICQ client for EPOC 32. Works very well on the Revo and has those familiar sounds from the PC version. You must already have an ICQ number! (Tested on the Revo)
• rmrzip.sis v2.02 - - A zip utility in SIS format, ready for installing directly on your EPOC 32 machine. It does the job. (Hold down shift and click to download this file.)
• blv2b5.zip - Automatically turns on the backlight at night.
• clip5art.zip - Lots of clipart for the Series 5.
• Editor.zip v1.41(049) - - An editor, particularly useful for hacking scripts.
• Eshell.zip - A shell tool. Necessary for the Perl interpreter!
• funzip12.zip - Unzipper front end (needs unzip.img).
• perl_28.zip - Perl interpreter (version 5.6.1) for Epoc32. Quite nice really! Requires a shell tool Good on the Series 5, 5mx and Revo.
• Perlref.zip - A Perl reference manual in Psion data format
• perlstart.zip - NEW! - The Perl File Recognizer. A directory viewer, which will invoke the interpreter with the chosen file. Does away with the need for eshell.
• s5triv22.zip - Trivia. Lots of it.
• spectrum.zip - ZX Spectrum emulator! Go here for games.
• SwTsk111.zip - Task swapper with automatic backlight on utility.
• unzip.img - Unzip utility (recommend getting funzip12.zip too.)
• wordbox.zip - Boggle-style word game. Very addictive game!

These downloads are quite old and may not be the latest versions of the described software. Basically, I sold my Series 3a a long time ago and not kept up with the software developments since. When I did use the 3a, these were utilities I actually used, so they can't be all that bad.

• banker.zip - Helps keep track of accounts.
• batchk.zip - Graphical representation of the state of your batteries.
• con3a.zip - Conversion utility.
• funzip12.zip - Unzipper front end (needs unzip.img).
• jbdata.zip - A database worthy of trashing the data icon for.
• jbcis.zip - Utility for Compuserve users.
• pason4e.zip - Switches password protection on at various time intervals.
• periodc2.zip - Periodic table with lots of info. Data can be added.
• readcis.zip - Probably the best way to connect to Compuserve from your Psion.
• terry.zip - Terry Pratchett sound byte (FOC quote)
• spy_a.zip - System monitor. Good for developing software.
• stigma.zip - Marble maze game. Very good, I wasted many an hour with this.
• unzip.img - Unzip utility (recommend getting funzip12.zip too.)
• wav2wv.zip - Converts PC .wav files to Psion .wve.
• wve2wav.zip - Converts Psion .wve files to PC .wav files.
• yam12.zip - Minesweeper a la Win3.1.
