Friends
Over the last 8-or-so years I've managed to make some very good
friends through college, work and play.
Back in the year... ummm... 199x I fell into a newsgroup -
alt.fan.pratchett
I kinda liked it there; the people were friendly and didn't maul or flame
too badly, especially if one developed clue at a reasonable pace. A year
or so after that I went along to a pub in London and met Richard Kettlewell,
my first real, live afper. A couple of months after that I went to my first
meet and it wasn't all that scary. These were fairly normal people, bar the high
computer-literacy; which was actually quite instrumental in my choice of career
in the end. Anyway, a few years down the line the newsgroup got too big and
I just didn't have the time or energy to read it any more. By that time
I'd made some good friends so it didn't matter that I'd ambled away from the
newsgroup really. So... here they are... well, some of them anyway.

to Australia!

loveable. But then, I guess I'm a bit biased there.
